Mike Groves | Digital Rewards & Online Marketing Consultant

Hello, I’m Mike Groves, a freelance rewards, loyalty and online marketing consultant with significant experience and expertise in designing, building and managing measurable online marketing, digital rewards and loyalty campaigns and programmes.

I provide ‘hands on’ consultancy, business development, project and campaign management services to agencies, direct clients and start-ups, across a wide range of industries and markets.

Most recently I was Head of Partnerships for Qorbital, a Banking-as-a-Service (Baas) platform, working to develop a digital ecosystem of products and services accessed via a digital wallet.

Prior to joining Qorbital I was a member of the founding team at Gobsmack, an award winning disrupter in the UK insurance and rewards space. Gobsmack launched reward programmes for More Th>n, Admiral and Endsleigh, helping their customers earn cashback rewards to reduce the cost of their insurance renewals. As Head of Product & Partnerships I was responsible for sourcing, negotiating and managing partner relationships across our online cashback rewards and card linked offer propositions. I also led a number of projects exploring new opportunities in areas such as auto-switching, open banking and embedded finance, as well as contributing to new business development and client management.

As an online marketing consultant I’ve worked with agencies including Regroup Media, ARM Direct, Acumen, Aitch-C and Zero Above to help clients use PPC search, SEO, Affiliates and other online marketing channels to achieve their business objectives. I’ve also provided search marketing training and online marketing consultancy services via my own consultancy practice.

Prior to my consultancy career I worked in a variety of roles in successful communications and online marketing agencies including Citrus, John Brown, Blue Edged Media, Digivate, Cheeze and Digital Marketing Group.

Away from the ‘day job’ I’m the founder and owner of Shirt Displays UK, home of the Shirt Hero, the easy way to show off your favourite football shirts.
